About

Sarah grew up in both the United States and Canada where she developed a love of nature and a strong sense of design.  She studied architecture in Italy where she gained an appreciation for Renaissance style and an understanding of how to incorporate classical elements into modern living.  She interned under renowned lighting designer Herve Descottes (L’Observatoire International) where she learned how to use light to best enhance any architectural space.

Sarah began her career developing large-scale commercial projects for the United States Postal Service.  She was instrumental in the Pennsylvania Station Redevelopment Project in New York City in the late 1990s. Working for Ismael Leyva Architects as job captain, Sarah planned 1.2 million square feet of retail, office, workroom and loading dock space.

In 2002, she joined SLCE Architects, where she helped develop residential apartment buildings in New York City.

The following year, she transitioned to single-family homes and commercial projects in New Jersey.  Sarah enjoyed taking a more personal approach to architecture, developing one-on-one relationships with her clients to create new homes, additions and remodels specific to each individual owner’s needs.

Sarah graduated from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) with a Bachelor of Architecture and Bachelor of Science, Building Construction.

Sarah is excited to take her vast experience, attention to detail and commitment to each client to the next level delivering unique, stress-free design solutions at Sarah E. Lieberman, Architects.
